CONSERVATION PROGRAM MANAGER
(CONTRACT POSITION)
Oshawa PUC Networks Inc., a subsidiary of Oshawa Power and Utilities Corporation, is the local distribution company serving more than 55,000 customers in the City of Oshawa, located 45 minutes east of Toronto on the shores of Lake Ontario.
Reporting to the President & CEO, the Conservation Program Manager will have overall responsibility for Oshawa PUC Network’s (OPUCN) conservation program management in support of achieving their Conservation Demand Management (CDM) Targets. The Conservation Program Manager will be responsible for designing the appropriate strategies to meet conservation targets within the allocated budgets and the responsibilities would generally include but are not limited to: planning, implementation, reporting and evaluation of various energy conservation programs under OPUC plan approved by Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO).
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Post-Secondary degree in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration, Environmental Studies or Energy Management
Detailed knowledge of the current IESO Conservation First Framework a strong asset
Demonstrated experience in the field of energy management, delivery of Conservation Programs with knowledge of the Ontario Electricity market, Ontario Energy Board and Green Energy Act an asset
Familiarity with OEB CDM Code and other relevant regulations affecting compliance
Experience with multi-year budget preparation, forecasting, resourcing, financial reporting, monitoring and accounting practices would be an asset
Excellent presentation, listening and communication skills, both written and verbal is essential
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
