Conservation Program Advisor

(Full-Time)

 

Reporting to the Conservation Program Manager, the Conservation Program Advisor will administer the conservation incentive application process(es), including the technical review of supporting documentation. This role will work closely with program stakeholders including internal resources, customers, channel partners, and non-government organizations and provide training, support, site visits, audits, detailed technical reviews, data and project analysis and application and project recommendations. 

Applicants must have successfully completed a post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field (i.e. mechanical, electrical, science or other related field) or equivalent; and have at least two (2) years’ experience in the energy efficiency / management sector, with a focus on project review and analytics is preferred. 

Applicants should have an understanding of electrical theory, electromechanical systems, lighting systems, HVAC, and building science which is supported by a background in industrial processes or in energy application in an industrial and/or commercial environment. 

Experience with an Ontario-based utility, the Ontario Power Authority, and/or conservation programs and CEM, CMVP, CET, and P. Eng designations are considered an asset.  Previous experience and a working knowledge of current OPA initiative application processes and software is a highly desired asset.  

Demonstrated ability to oversee and manage multiple projects, knowledge of energy end uses, energy efficiency/demand management technologies energy management practices, and electrical systems in a CI&I setting with skills in data analysis and analytics is preferred.  Applicants must have basic skills in customer engagement and public speaking and intermediate skills in the use of computer software programs for spreadsheet and data analysis applications.  Must have a valid Class ‘G’ driver’s license. 

WAGE RANGE: $26.87-$29.85 per hour based on a 33 ¾ hour work week plus benefits based on the CUPE - BPI Collective Agreement
