TEMPORARY MAPPING ANALYST – GROUP 6
ASSET MANAGEMENT STRATEGY
This temporary position reports to the Supervising Design Technician, Corporate Mapping.
The duration of this assignment is six (6) months but may be extended to a maximum of one (1) year.
Responsibilities will include:
Create and maintain AM/FM information pertaining to Hydro plant and equipment
Participate in field verification of plant information and other data verification activities
Create or revise digital work order construction drawings, schematic, land base, and other map products
Act as liaison with other departments, utilities, and outside personnel, providing AM/FM reports, maps and records as required
Interact with AM/FM & SPF system developers to enhance and expand these technologies
Assist in other departmental functions as required
Requirements:
Must have completed, or be actively pursuing, post-secondary education in electrical technology. An acceptable combination of education and experience may be deemed an equivalent.
Completion of, or willingness to complete, a Power Distribution course
Minimum two years experience in an electric utility in an engineering department
Demonstrated competence in the use of G/Electric G/Designer software
Expertise in the use of MicroStation software
Familiarity with whitespace standards and QA/QC concepts
Excellent organizational skills and an ability to produce accurate and thorough work
Highly developed customer service capabilities
A Solid communication skills combined with good interpersonal skills
A valid driver's license and a safe driving record; a satisfactory abstract is required
Salary range: Group 6 - $1,288.98 – 1,482.52 per week; 40 hours per week
