Position Title:                     Manager, Program Delivery 

 

GreenSaver is the oldest and largest Ontario organization dedicated to practical solutions in energy efficiency, with over 25 years experience and more than 60,000 completed residential and commercial energy efficiency projects.  We are the industry leaders in energy assessments, draft-proofing, insulation and in the delivery of energy conservation programs on behalf of electric and gas utilities and government agencies.  GreenSaver is also one of the most exciting corporations in the energy sector, growing continuously at a rate over and above similar organizations in the province.  Currently, GreenSaver is providing energy conservation programs to over 50 Ontario Local Distribution Cos (LDCs). 

Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, the Manager – Program Delivery leads the Programs Group in all aspects of Conservation Demand Management (CDM) Program Delivery for our utility clients across Ontario.  This key role within the organization is responsible for leveraging GreenSaver’s existing processes, systems and standards to effectively deliver energy conservation results to clients.   

 Key Responsibilities

  • Successfully manage a portfolio of energy conservation programs and a team made up of program managers, administration staff, and various subcontractors

  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities while creating a positive work environment

  • Accomplish organizational goals by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results

  • Develop CDM Program delivery methodologies and integrate new business into the existing operational structure; coordinate team activities, and enforce systems, policies, procedures and standards relating to quality, productivity, and customer service

  • Establish targets related to CDM Program participation required to accomplish organizational and client expectations and lead the development and implementation of the strategic marketing and outreach plan

  • Provide support to staff in all aspects of the client relationship; including attending client meetings, resolving escalated client concerns, or other communication requirements to ensure a positive client experience at all times

  • Maintain professional, industry and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, implementing industry best practices, participating in professional societies

  • Other duties, as required 

Required Skills, Knowledge and Characteristics

  • Strong communication, organizational, planning and analytical skills.

  • Highly developed, demonstrated team building skills with the ability to train, coach and provide feedback in a positive and constructive manner.

  • Ability to lead and coordinate the activities of a diverse, multi-disciplinary team.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, partners and service providers.

  • Commitment to continuous improvement with the ability to increase productivity, improve methods, processes and team contributions in a changing environment

  • Knowledge of the CDM marketplace in Ontario, the ability to identify trends and opportunities in the CDM industry, and prior experience in the utilities industry would be a major asset
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a flexible, employee empowered work environment while maintaining high standards of customer service and quality of work 

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5 to 10 years of progressively responsible positions in program management, preferably related to the management and delivery of commercial, industrial and/or residential CDM Programs

  • Experience in developing and implementing Strategic Marketing & Outreach Plans to build market awareness and maximize program participation

  • Requires a Bachelors Degree in a related field (engineering, environmental science, business, marketing);  a professional Engineering or Project Management  designation will be considered a definite asset.

  • Experience in a rapid growth environment

  • Strong leadership, mentoring and team-building qualities.

  • Committed, tough-minded, pragmatic, performance-driven personality.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and sustain relationships

  • A track record of good judgment and prudent risk taking

  • Bilingual abilities (French / English) are considered an asset
