The Chief Information Officer (CIO), reporting to the Executive Vice President, Finance and Administration and CFO, will provide vision and leadership in translating business strategy into Information Management & Information Technology (IM/IT) action plans to move the organization towards a desired state.  The CIO is responsible for strategically leading the development, implementation, continual enhancement, alignment and co-ordination of the Corporation’s IM/IT systems in order to improve productivity, service quality for the customer and business outcomes.  

This position manages all aspects of the corporations IT infrastructure, systems and information management needs, including those of any of the affiliates, such as Burlington Electricity Services Inc.  The CIO is also accountable for the overall leadership of the Information Services and Billing departments and to ensure billing system integrity. As a member of the organizations Leadership Team, this position is required to make presentations to the Board of Directors on various information technology developments including Smart Metering/Grid, Cyber Security, and application strategies. 

The ideal candidate profiles will have at least 10 years senior leadership experience in the field of computer science and distribution utility sector experience.  They will ideally have a business background with specific experience in translating business strategy into IM/IT action plans that move the organization towards its desired state.  

The successful candidate will have a strong complement of competencies to support their experience and education and be an innovative, proactive and visionary leader able to implement new technologies to keep the company up-to-date and effective.  Required competencies include strong financial acumen, customer oriented both internal and external and the ability to adapt.  As a change agent, you foster strong relationships and networks and have the ability to skillfully negotiate in order to build consensus on outcomes.
