 Career Opportunity - Meter Data Analyst

 

Rodan Energy has an exciting full-time opportunity for a Meter Data Analyst on our Data Services team.  This role is based out of our Mississauga head office and reports to the Senior Manager, Data Services. 

Key Responsibilities:

    • Help desk administration and dispatch for response to IESO (Independent Electricity System Operator) meter trouble reports, customer support and general inquiries.
    • Meter data management services for retail, wholesale and MSP (Meter Service Provider) clients including remote meter interrogation, data collection, verification and posting using meter interrogation software.
    • Schedule MV-90 meter interrogation cycles to ensure availability of metered data and to avoid conflict with IESO reading cycles.
    • Program meters and verify meter functions and settings.  
    • Interface with other metering service providers, meter data management agencies and clients regarding the provision of metering services, metering installations and metering data.
    • Initiate Request numbers from the IESO for new meter installations, meter upgrades, meter deregistration, and other issues that require Request numbers from the IESO.
    • Interface with field staff, prior to and during commissioning of meter installations and commencement of meter data collection.
    • Maintain the metering database and ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of the data contained therein.
    • Support Rodan staff with audit and technical proposals, engineering drawings and design, order processing, project management, MSP site registration, installation and commissioning, meter trouble reports and maintenance.
    • Other duties as required. 

Qualifications:

    • Post secondary education at an accredited college or university
    • Solid analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong customer service orientation and ability to work in a team environment
    • Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to learn and operate new software platforms
    • Experience working with a data collection and/or settlement system; use of MV-90, ION Setup and Metercat software is an asset
    • Knowledge of electrical principals, terminology, function and interpretation of electrical measuring instruments
