Rodan Energy has an exciting part-time opportunity for a Supervisor, Utility Field Services based out of our Mississauga head office.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will coordinate projects from planning through to the delivery of a solution that exceeds client needs and expectations, on time and within budget. This role is primarily responsible for supporting our Ontario local distribution company (LDC) clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Train, coach and supervise a province-wide team of technicians
Plan, coordinate, schedule and distribute daily work assignments ensuring timelines are met
Deliver project budgets and oversee project deliverables
Ensure compliancy in work procedure documents and safety standards
Conduct regular Health and Safety meetings and manage the Observation Based Safety program
Conduct site inspections and annual client reviews
Maintain metering records and manage the meter seal program
Key contact with customers, contractors and third party service providers
Manage equipment and vehicle maintenance programs
Qualifications:
Electrical technologist and/or Electrical engineer; CET or PEng designation is an asset
Work experience in electrical power distribution, metering, sub-metering, protection and control, communications and electrical systems
5+ years of experience in Ontario local utility industry management and/or supervision
Effective leadership skills and comfortable at managing remote technicians
High proficiency in MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel
Applied knowledge of OHSA, EUSA and ESA regulations, Utility Work Protection Code, WHMIS, CPR, First Aid and all other applicable legislation
Highly organized and flexible, able to balance conflicting priorities, with strong attention to detail
A valid Class ‘G’ Ontario Driver's License, driver’s insurance and an excellent driving record
