Career Opportunity – Operations Coordinator

 

Rodan Energy has an exciting full-time opportunity for an Operations Coordinator in our Mississauga head office.  Reporting to the Manager, Operations & Field Services this roll up the sleeves role supports the field operations function where you will be coordinating work assignments and participate as an active member of the joint health and safety committee. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meter Trouble Report in-house resolutions

  • Troubleshooting metering and communication devices for Rodan West and Energent

  • Manage distribution of daily work assignments for retail and wholesale clients

  • Organize all site visit requirements for internal and external clients

  • Manage the Meter Reseal Program

  • Coordinate purchasing, estimates and quote preparations

  • Process work orders and client invoicing

  • Maintain company warehouse, shipping/receiving, laboratory, vehicles, tools and equipment

  • Maintain meters and spare parts inventory

  • Liaise with customers, contractors and third party service providers to communicate changes and upgrade requirements, as well as resolve any customer issues

  • Program meters and other communication devices

  • Support the telemetry and remote terminal unit services related to configuration, installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of existing telemetry/logic setups

  • ESA Inspection coordination

  • Member of the joint health and safety committee

  • Other duties as required 

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical field, e.g. Electrical Engineering/technologist

  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to work in a team environment

  • Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to learn and operate new software platforms

  • Experience working with a data collection and/or settlement system; use of MV-90, ION Setup and Metercat software is an asset

  • Knowledge of electrical principals, terminology, function and interpretation of electrical measuring instruments
