CUSTOMER CARE REPRESENTATIVE

A Customer Care Representative is a “front line ambassador” for Energy+ Inc., addressing customer calls, enquiries and issues in an efficient and courteous manner. This position is responsible for accurately answering all customer enquiries relating to industry changes, billing, collections, service information, final readings and service changes. This role also involves collections duties including calling customers regarding past due accounts, setting up payment arrangements, scheduling and issuing disconnection of service, and submitting unpaid final bills to the collection agency. You will process bankruptcy and receivership documents, water and waste water accounts, and schedule, coordinate and follow up on service changes and new services with our Operations, Metering and Engineering Department. Additional responsibilities include processing trouble reports and forwarding to appropriate departments and recording pertinent data received from customers to effectively respond to planned or emergency outages. 

This position will appeal to a highly motivated team player with impeccable communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate demonstrates an ability to understand and convey electricity regulatory changes impacting customers and can multi-task in a fast paced diverse daily work environment. Previous experience and success in a customer call centre is a must. Preference will be given to candidates that have Utility experience with strong customer service skills, knowledge and experience using NorthStar Harris Customer Information System. Computer competency is also required including a proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications. In addition, the ability to accurately perform basic mathematics required to perform this role is also required. An Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent is required.
