MANAGER, RENEWABLE ENERGY & CONSERVATION

Customer & Information Services Division

 

Under the general direction and guidance of the Vice President, Customer & Information Services, is responsible for the management of the Corporation’s Renewable Energy portfolio and Conservation and Demand Management (CDM) Plans. 

Qualifications: 

Mandatory: 

University degree in a related discipline and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an administration role with demonstrated continuous increasing levels of responsibility, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.   Must be able to understand and interpret legislation. Demonstrated leadership and motivational capabilities with a commitment to continuous improvement, Frontline leadership and teamwork principles are required. Must have excellent customer relations, presentation, interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills and the ability to plan, organize, prioritize and schedule work effectively. A working knowledge and proficient use of computers and related software is necessary. Must be self-motivated.   Must have a good understanding of electricity conservation methods and renewable energy options.   Must be competent within the meaning of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and demonstrate superior health, safety, and environmental responsibility. 

Preferred: 

A sound technical and practical knowledge of renewable energy projects and electricity conservation. Specific electrical utility experience. Experience in planning and managing projects.   Experience in leading staff to achieve objectives.   Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Direct sales and marketing experience in electromechanical, lighting and HVAC systems would be an asset. Have a good understanding of construction techniques and the ability to read technical drawings.
