QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNOLOGIST

 

ERTH (Holdings) Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of ERTH Corporation, has an immediate opening for a dynamic individual with proven experience to join our metering team as Quality Assurance Technologist. Working out of our Ingersoll, Ontario location, this position is primarily responsible for performing work pertaining to the verification and re-verification of electricity meters within a Measurement Canada accredited meter shop. This position will liaison with all ERTH (Holdings) Inc. metering business units including the IESO registered Meter Service Provider (MSP) and LDC Metering Field Service units. 

The individual will pay the highest regard to standards, policies, procedures and manuals set forth by ERTH (Holdings) Inc., Measurements Canada, The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and any governing bodies involved in, or related to the electricity revenue metering industry. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform all duties within the AMV shop outlined within ERTH’s quality manual, including testing and calibration of all meter types for which ERTH holds accreditation
  • Prepare and maintain ERTH’s AMV quality manual and ensure all AMV procedures and documentation are kept up-to-date.  
  • Maintain records to comply with internal processes, Measurement Canada and IESO regulations
  • Prepare lists and schedules per Measurement Canada S-S-06 sampling specification
  • Utilize Meter Data Acquisition Software (MDAS) and proprietary programs such as Itron MV-90 & PC Pro, ION Setup, Elster Metercat etc.
  • Daily monitoring of MV-90
  • Daily monitoring, acceptance, investigation and resolution of Online IESO Meter Trouble Reports (MTR’s) 

Qualifications

  • College diploma in Engineering Technology (Electrical discipline preferred)
  • Registration with OACETT
  • 5 years of related experience with quality control, metering or utilities
  • ISO training preferred
  • Effective communication skills to successfully interact with customers and colleagues
  • Must demonstrate commitment to the team approach of project management
