About the role:
The Supervisor, ADMS & Grid Services will deliver flawless control room services to internal and external customers, evolve Oakville Hydro’s smart grid capabilities through ADMS enhancements, optimize grid performance and reliability, and expand the services provided by the Smart Grid team.  This position will be an active participant in the energy and infrastructure community interacting with colleagues and contributing to the growth of the OEC family of companies.

As a member of the corporate management team your accountabilities include:
• Enhance our state-of-the-art advanced distribution management system (ADMS)
• Identify and implement grid intelligence opportunities for our 215+ automated field devices, driving efficiencies and increasing customer satisfaction
• Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of the Control Room professionals and resources to ensure the needs of internal and external customers are met
• In conjunction with the Insights Group, co-author business plans and expand the suite of services provided to customers
• Identify system risk and implement mitigation strategies
• Liaise with Hydro One and IESO for outage planning and restoration activities
• Leverage resources for on-going reliability management
• Ensure flawless delivery of Utility Work Protection Code processes
• Identify and implement business process initiatives for continuous improvement
• Ensure the training of the staff on job duties, safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications and work experience:
System Operator Certificate, CET, PLT, P.Eng or equivalent work experience
Working knowledge of electrical distribution systems and operation
Experience in coordinating projects or supervision of technical personnel
Two or more years’ experience in the industry or equivalent related utility experience
Three or more years of demonstrated excellent supervisory experience
