Newmarket-Tay Power Distribution Ltd. (NTPDL) is a local electricity distribution company (“LDC”) licensed by the Ontario Energy Board., which is jointly owned by the Municipalities of Newmarket (93%) and Tay (7%). NTPDL oversees an asset base of approximately $115 million and serves more than 50,000 customers in Newmarket, Tay and Midland.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & CEO of Newmarket-Tay Power Distribution Ltd. will work closely with the Board to build on the strategy and operations plan for the organization, with key milestones and dates, as well as recruit and develop a collaborative, high performing team.
As the ideal candidate, you are an experienced senior executive with a successful background as a strategic visionary who understands the demands of operating a commercial enterprise in the regulated public sector, ensuring timely capacity to meet the changing market challenges into the future. You are an accomplished communicator, both internally and externally, and possess the reputation, drive and experience to ensure that NTPDL achieves its vision and mandate while living by its values.
You have demonstrated experience in successfully leading change, understanding and implementing new technology in a dynamic environment and achieving organizational transformation. You build good working relationships with shareholders and collaborative arrangements with customers, partners and stakeholders including community groups, government and other LDC’s to help achieve the goals of the organization. You are an innovator, intellectually curious, creative and able to couple thoughtful decisiveness with exceptionally sound judgment. You are also committed to leadership development, employee empowerment and inspiring a shared vision.
