Manager, Procurement & Facilities

Reporting to the VP, Operations, you are responsible for administrating the purchasing policy and procedures, the procurement of all material and services at the best quality, price and delivery, and the disposal of all surplus material, equipment and scrap at the best price to the company. These responsibilities include both locations (Cambridge and Paris). You are also responsible for the supervision of the Purchasing and Stores departments as well as the co-ordination and administration of the facilities management function (all building related maintenance functions); this also includes fleet (Mechanic). In addition, you are responsible for securing from all types of service contractors the proper documentation to ensure limited liability to the company.

 

Other Responsibilities include;

  • Planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating the purchasing activities including analyzing company needs and aligning resources to complete projects and daily tasks.
  • Negotiating supplier agreements and managing the tender, quotation and inventory process.
  • Identifying and establishing vendor relationships which includes coordinating with vendor/suppliers to ensure delivery and distribution of equipment, supplies and services.

 

You will also provide leadership and coaching and development of team members, while maintaining a collaborative team dynamic.

 

We will require a minimum of seven years of varied experience as a certified CPPO, CPPB or a PMAC SCMP and/or a degree/diploma in a related field (e.g. Business – Purchasing Diploma, Business Administration or Materials Management). You are detail oriented and have exceptional problem solving, planning, strong organizational and execution skills, project management, interpersonal, written and verbal communication and computer skills.
