INFRASTRUCTURE BUSINESS PROCESS and IT SECURITY SPECIALIST

Westario Power Inc. is now accepting applications for an Infrastructure Business Process and IT Security Specialist who directly reports to the VP Engineering and Operations to ensure that the network/business systems are meeting and exceeding expectations in regard to information technology, security and performance meeting standards and following process, providing effective subject matter expertise to the organization. The successful incumbent will manage risk, provide support, schedule maintenance updates, and enhance the organizations infrastructure technology posture.

Westario Power’s headquarters are located in the Municipality of Brockton serving over 24,500 customers in fifteen communities within Grey, Bruce, Huron and Wellington counties.

To be considered, candidates must possess as a minimum:

• Provide subject matter expertise to the Company on its IT systems/ business processes directly related
• Recommend and implement appropriate security controls to protect the Company’s information
• Provide security including cybersecurity expertise and mitigate risks
• Support and oversee requests, incidents, and IT issues, manage, and coordinate the support of issues
• Escalation point for all requests on IT matters
• Perform regularly scheduled vulnerability assessments, recommend, and implement effective monitoring, establish baselines for subsequent effectivity assessment
• Track KPI based metrics for reporting purpose, oversee the development of policy framework, coordinate the creation and deployment of policies, standards, and guidelines
• Update and report on the security posture to the OEB Security Framework

In addition, the successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to:

• Perform business impact analyses and lead security risk assessments and audits on a variety of computing technologies and architectures
• Create audit methodologies and related controls to audit, follow up and ensure implementation of the Company’s security strategy
• Develop and maintain Business Continuity Plan/Disaster Recovery Plan 

Qualifications must include:

• Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent training and experience
• 5+ years of experience working on Microsoft technologies
• SAP experience, Windows, Office 365
• 5 years in an Information Security position
• 5 years in a Systems Administrative role
• IT Networking, Security protocols, Privacy and Confidentiality experience
• Data encryption experience
