Journeyman Lineperson

Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the Journeyman Lineperson is responsible for construction and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution systems. Duties include but are not limited to maintaining tools and equipment, and trouble-shooting repairs and restoration of system outages. As per the collective agreement Linepersons are expected to be at a job site within thirty minutes of receiving notification of a problem.

Applicants must have a Community College diploma or equivalent work experience in an electrical related field and will hold an interprovincial Red Seal as a Powerline Technician having successfully completed a Certificate of Apprenticeship and successfully obtained a Certificate of Qualification or equivalent. Additional training and experience will be considered an asset. A valid drivers’ license, preferably “AZ”, or the ability to obtain, (in good standing) and working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and association regulations, EUSA rulebook and safe work procedures are essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer service skills are also required. 

WAGE RANGE AS PER THE COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT: $41.50 per hour based on a 40 hour work week plus benefits.
