AMI Billing Clerk

 

Reporting to the Billing Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the billing data received from the Provincial MDM/R in order to accurately bill more than 60,000 residential and small commercial customers.

Key Responsibilities include the following:

  • Ensure the MDM/R (Meter Data Management and Repository) provides reliable meter reading and billing data and responds to requests within contracted service levels
  • Analyze and adjust time of use data to maintain accurate and timely billing of Burlington Hydro customers
  • Test and document changes to the MDM/R and ensure all enhancements are implemented effectively and on time
  • Monitor MDM/R functions and fulfill Burlington Hydro’s billing schedule requirements
  • Provide first-level incident reporting to the MDM/R via the IESO’s Service Desk Tool
  • Acts as a liaison with ODS (Operational Data Storage) provider to coordinate system requirements and changes
  • Process field service orders ,verify and correct any discrepancies or irregularities with Meter Department
  • Perform other Billing Department duties such as billing, rate change testing etc.
  • Backup other department positions
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Post-Secondary education would be an asset
  • Detailed knowledge of MDM/R reports and functions such as VEE, USDP IDs, I-synch
  • Minimum 2 years of billing experience
  • Knowledge of billing practices and procedures
  • Experience in documenting, updating and delivering training material to co-workers
  • Demonstrated adaptability; a good work ethic with a positive approach to work and coworkers
  • Computer knowledge at intermediate level with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent administration, troubleshooting, analytical and mathematical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal professional communication skills
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Demonstrated interest in process improvements
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with excellent time management skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills; a good work ethic with a positive approach to work and coworkers; energetic and motivated with an excellent attendance record
