DIRECTOR, CUSTOMER CARE

The Director, Customer Care will be accountable for leading, managing and continuously improving the customer care strategies and initiatives of the Corporation. This position develops, directs and enhances the customer care activities through the delivery of high performance, quality services to continuously improve the customer experience. 

Responsibilities will include directing a full-time staff of Management, Inside and Outside Union personnel along with additional contractors. This role includes striving for excellence in delivering customer solutions for customers, timely collection of annual billings and managing customer deposits; County water metering / collection / customer services for customers, corporate communications to engage customers and enhance the Energy+ brand and reputation using multiple media platforms and activities. This position will provide key account relationship management. 

In conjunction with various departments this position will work with the Regulatory Team on the implementation of Regulatory requirements and actions to fulfill the company’s regulatory obligations. Relevant Ontario Energy Board (OEB) and Provincial regulation and legislation. 

A minimum of ten years of experience in a senior management position, combined with a professional designation is required. Preference will be given to candidates with previous work experience with a local electricity distribution company. The successful candidate will have strong strategic, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of management. With solid business analysis and planning experience, the candidate is able to handle multiple projects and exercise good judgement in prioritizing tasks. Proficient use in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, is required.
