Our impressive team of dedicated employees strive to provide a safe, reliable supply of electricity to over 58,000 customers across a large urban and rural service area spanning 683 square kilometres. Our mission is to be of service to our customers by delivering electricity to homes and businesses in our communities – safely, reliably, 24/7.

As an experienced Engineering Technologist with a can-do attitude and knowledge in the planning and design of construction projects for customer service connections and overhead and underground distribution systems in accordance with established standards, you are well equipped to perform all associated project management functions until completion of construction.

Your excellent time management, planning skills and ability to multitask allow you to prepare estimates, work schedules, generate material lists and order material consistent with project time lines.

Advanced verbal and written communications skills enable you to coordinate activities with various stakeholders, providing guidance, instruction and direction to outside parties in response to inquires regarding modifications to the electrical distribution system, negotiating and acquiring easements, permits, consent and approvals prior to the start of construction.

Intermediate AutoCAD and MS Office skills, along with problem solving, critical thinking and trouble shooting skills are required.

With a diploma from a recognized Electrical Engineering Technology program or related discipline, and a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation, you have advanced knowledge of utility construction standards, along with industry regulations and standards, AC electrical theory and construction and surveying methods.

Previous experience in a similar role is considered a must. The ability to obtain PEO registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or, alternatively, as a Limited Engineering Licence holder is considered an asset for future opportunities.
