Bluewater Power Distribution Corporation is the founding member of the Bluewater Power Group of Companies, headquartered in Sarnia Ontario. Bluewater Power Distribution Corporation is looking to recruit an Electrician. The position is a permanent, full-time union position, reporting to the Operations Supervisors. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 12 Graduation Diploma or recognized equivalent
• Ontario College of Trades Journeyman Construction Electrician 309A Certificate of Qualification.
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License Class DZ.
• Street and Traffic Light education/experience would be an asset.
• Knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations.
• Five years of related experience.
• Computer literacy.
• Effective interpersonal, communication and troubleshooting/problem solving skills.

JOB DUTIES: 

• Ensure all work is completed within Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines
• Perform electrical wiring and facility inspections and commissioning
• Inspect and test various electrical equipment and mechanical equipment controls.
• Analyze test results to determine status of equipment.
• Prepare reports, business cases and budgets for recommended preventative measures.
• Install and test instrument metering.
• Record and store equipment files test data.
• Select and procure various equipment and technical information to successfully complete projects.
• Operate various types of equipment including test equipment.
