Billing Quality Control Operator  

 

ERTH provides a full spectrum of products and services geared towards the utility and municipal sectors and is seeking a dynamic individual with proven experience to join our team as a Billing Quality Control Operator.   ERTH’s team of utility and billing experts work together to assist numerous clients with their back office processes. The successful candidate will provide client assistance with Sync Operations, EBT processing, billing and quality control. This role requires proficiency with meter data management, billing and regulatory components of the utility industry. For this position, ERTH offers a remote working arrangement for qualified applicants with a proven track record of working independently.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Data analysis, reviewing reports and resolving billing exceptions across multiple systems
  • Ensuring data is synonymous across AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) networks, the centralized meter data repository (MDM/R), the CIS (Customer Information System) and the ODS (utility Operational Meter Data Storage), thus ensuring accurate and timely billing
  • EBT (Electronic Business Transaction) processing
  • Troubleshooting problems to determine possible solutions and making recommendations for improved process
  • System setups and testing
  • Billing Backup/Support 

Qualified applicants, who meet the following criteria, will be considered: 

  • 5 Years recent billing experience within the electrical utility industry
  • Working knowledge of the Harris NorthStar CIS preferred
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in Business or Information Technology or equivalent job experience
  • Experience in rate implementations and system setups would be preferred
  • Knowledge of the electricity regulatory environment including regulatory codes, rules and guidelines
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Effective communication, team building and interpersonal skills
  • Must demonstrate flexibility and commitment with analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Computer and technology literate – proficient in Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook
