WHAT YOU WILL DO

Team Leadership: Provide direction, supervision, and mentorship for resources across IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and AMI teams.
Strategic Leadership: Contribute to the development and execution of London Hydro’s technology roadmap and a multi-year rolling IT strategy in collaboration with the IT Senior management team and Executive Committee. Provide information technology solutions ensuring maximum customer satisfaction. Lead multi-disciplinary teams responsible for improving or re-engineering business processes and information systems to align with strategic business direction. Lead the identification, evaluation, and mitigation of risks across IT areas of responsibility. Establish and oversee the improvement of incident response strategies. Work towards achieving total system integration based on knowledge of continuing developments in information technology and assess the relevance of these to the organization. Oversee the maintenance of departmental processes and practices.
IT Infrastructure & Operational Excellence: Oversee the stability, accuracy, availability and integration of IT infrastructure (i.e. networks, internet and wireless services, servers and storage (cloud / on-premise), end-user devices, and telephony and communication systems). Provide strategic guidance on cloud migration strategies, security in multi-cloud and hybrid environments, and integration with on-premise systems. Provide guidance and oversight of comprehensive monitoring processes and alert notification procedures. Oversee capacity, performance, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure uninterrupted IT operations. Ensure compliance with internal service-level agreements.
Cybersecurity: Guide and direct the delivery of the Cybersecurity program, including overseeing project initiatives and ongoing operational activities Oversee the design, engineering, and monitoring of cybersecurity architecture solutions, including periodic technical scans, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analyses. Provide strategic oversight to develop and maintain a robust portfolio of IT cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with regulatory frameworks (e.g., OEB, NIST, Privacy by Design), ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data. Ensure effective consultation with OT cybersecurity team.
Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI): Oversee complex AMI production support and projects in consultation with such Metering Services and Billing Back Office. Guide and support the collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate AMI systems with broader IT and field operations and the meter-to-cash process. Provide strategic guidance on system upgrades, vendor relationships, and the execution of technology enhancements to optimize AMI performance.
Project & Vendor Management: Provide strategic oversight and support in the planning, execution, and documentation of IT infrastructure, AMI Systems, and Cybersecurity projects, ensuring quality, on-time delivery, and scope and budget adherence. Monitor advances in technology, prepare thorough, persuasive narrative evidence, arguments, and analyses, and recommend strategic investments to continually evolve the company’s IT landscape. Oversee, manage and collaborate with technology vendors, partners and contractors.
Budget & Reporting: Manage and monitor the annual capital and operating budgets of the area. Direct the preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and contribute to the creation of business cases and cost/benefit analyses. Monitor trends, and analyze metrics and KPIs.
Safety: Ensure personal and direct reports’ adherence to all Occupational Health & Safety Act rules and regulations, IHSA safety rules, London Hydro Safe Work Practices, Environmental Policies and Health and Safety policies. Ensure all accident reports are reviewed and corrective action taken.

Successful completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field PLUS additional specialized training.

Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in progressively senior positions related to Information Technology Infrastructure.

Proven experience in overseeing IT Infrastructure and Cyber Security portfolios.

POSITION SUMMARY
To accommodate our growing community and customer centric approach, Milton Hydro is looking to grow our Powerline Technician Team’s complement.  Reporting to the Supervisor of Operations, this position is responsible the construction, maintenance, operation and troubleshooting of the electric distribution system (overhead and underground) on all voltages.
The successful candidate will perform emergency call-out and on call duties, and work under emergency conditions, with the willingness and ability to respond and be on the work site within 45 minutes of receiving the call.  Candidates will be required to comply and be familiar with Company work practices and standards, operating rules, and regulations, as well as all pertinent OHSA and regulations. This is a full-time unionized position.
KEY DUTIES

Construction, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the electrical distribution system, including overhead and underground of various voltages (up to and including 27.6 kV)
Perform live line work on overhead and underground electrical distribution lines of up to 27.6 kV
Erect poles, and associated structures for power lines
Build, repair and operate underground cables/equipment
Required work within Substations
Install conductors and associated apparatus
Perform assigned maintenance work, trouble-shoot and restore electric power during emergencies.
Understand and operate motorized vehicles and equipment; boom trucks
Install single-phase meter equipment
Perform line clearing duties as required
Solve routine problems
Perform on-call duties
Compliance and sign off to the construction verification program. ESA 22:04
CVOR checks/logs; track jobs hours for CVOR

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

The MEARIE Group Journeyperson Power Line Technician Certificate or recognized equivalent (4th year Apprentices may be taken into consideration)
The Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges & Universities Power Line Technician Certificate (or equivalent)
Full certification in the Ontario Utility Work Protection Code (or willing and able to acquire within six months and maintain)
Working knowledge of the Electrical Utility Safety Rules and industry safe work practices
Proficient in the use of all tools and equipment associated with the trade
Valid Class "D" driver's license with "Z" endorsement
Able to work from work orders, specifications, standards and instructions and to interpret prints, sketches and diagrams
Strong communicator, excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills
A level of physical fitness essential to do the work including the ability to climb and work confidently at heights; and the willingness and ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions

POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager, Corporate Finance oversees the daily operations of both the regulated and unregulated entities and ensures that they are financially compliant. This position is a 12-month contract role with the opportunity for an extension up to 18-months.
As a member of the Corporate Finance Team, the incumbent focuses on maintaining the corporate books and records for Milton Hydro’s Group of Companies. The incumbent supports a ‘whole of organization’ approach by putting sufficient focus on: predicting & responding to customer needs; building an engaged employee culture; and, continually seeking better solutions through productivity, technology & innovation.
The incumbent acts as a business partner to functional business units and supports financial operations to ensure a sound understanding of financial performance and ensure appropriate fiscal responsibility of business leaders. The incumbent ensures compliance with corporate and financial policies, procedures, standards and regulations. The incumbent should have a strong understanding of multi-entity organization structures, understand financial reporting principles, financial planning and analysis, corporate tax, and treasury.
KEY DUTIES

Manage day-to-day operations of the Accounting department and ensure all activities are completed accurately and consistent with timelines.
Manage the budget process and create templates and reports to ensure appropriate consolidation and review of budgets.
Review monthly financials for all corporate entities and manage the finance team to deliver variance analyses to budget and provide rationale for variances.
Manager the process to develop and consolidate budgets provided by business units and complete required forecasting for financial reporting.
Manager the accounting processes within the Enterprise Resource Planning (“ERP”) system.
Maintain the general ledger, complete reconciliations, and ensure accounts are set up in accordance with OEB requirements.
Manage and approve all accounts payable and accounts receivable and post monthly journal entries.
Manage and post daily cash receipts, monthly accruals and inventory transactions.
Communicate and collaborate with department leaders to stay abreast of spending, budgeting and reports.
Liaise with third-party auditors and provide required documentation to ensure the swift closure of auding activities.
Provide people leadership and direction through coaching, development, performance management and resource planning.

WORK METHODS & SAFETY SPECIALIST

Reporting to the Manager, Health, Safety & Environment and working closely with operations staff, the Work Methods and Safety Specialist (“WMSS”) will provide leadership, support, and expertise to establish, manage, assist and monitor functions associated with HSE at a regional and corporate level. 
The successful candidate will be responsible for the resolution of Health Safety and Environmental concerns and issues that arise through incident investigations, employee concerns, work observations, workplace inspections, audits and the HSE Management System (“HSEMS”) program at all designated locations. This position will take a supportive role in the development of new and revision(s) of existing HSE programs; preparation, monitor effectiveness and maintenance of policies, work methods procedures, programs and initiatives; ensure documents with respect to the HSEMS are maintained and consistent with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.  The position will represent FortisOntario on external boards and committees as deemed appropriate by the Manager, Health, Safety & Environment.
The WMSS will promote a strong culture of safety compliance and awareness at all levels of the organization and will provide or facilitate ongoing training and communications pertaining to all HSE information and any legislative changes that may affect FortisOntario. Design, plan, and implement process and productivity enhancements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer service.
Provide leadership, coaching, development, and performance management to operational units.
Collaborate with other functions and manage third-party service providers.

Who you are

Education & Specialized Knowledge
Degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent related experience.

System Controller

Position Purpose:
Reporting to the Supervisor, System Control, this position is responsible for monitoring, controlling and authorizing the operation of several unique and diverse electrical distribution systems ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable delivery of power. 

Responsibilities:

Operate, authorize and direct the safe and reliable operation of the Alectra distribution system under normal and emergency conditions on a 24/7 basis.
Monitor, control, and record all activities on the distribution system.
Prioritizes and reports deficiencies of all station/distribution equipment including SCADA and communication systems and conducts follow up as required.
Maintain the distribution system configuration as designed/planned whenever possible.
Review, accept and administer applications for Work Protection from internal and external work groups ensuring that all such applications are correct and that the requested isolation will provide adequate protection following the IHSA Electrical Utility Protection Code and Alectra procedures.
Coordinates activities and outages on transformer station / transmission lines and distribution equipment with Hydro One/IESO and other Alectra departments to ensure all work is carried out in a safe, economic and efficient manner.
Coordinate disconnects and reconnects between line crews, residential, commercial and key account customers for maintenance, upgrades and revenue issues including installation of microfits or embedded generation.
Answering telephone calls from customers regarding inquiries, service requests and trouble reports and dispatch respondents as appropriate.  
Supporting the Outage Management function by performing such daily tasks as organizing and keeping an accurate record of interruptions and transfers, and checking and filing records including Orders-To-Operate, Operator Summary, schematics, etc.
Manage outages using the Outage Management System for real-time statistical reporting and data analysis.
Communicates with Management and members of the public to provide status of power outages and anticipated restoration times.
Update GIS records, operating diagrams and other databases to reflect real-time distribution system configuration.
Communicate with and prepare reports for various agencies including, ESA, MOE and MOL.
Assists the System Control Supervisor in developing operational procedures and processes.
Assist in the training and evaluation of System Control Apprentices.
Perform analytical problem solving, trouble shooting and contingency planning of the distribution system.
Respond to emergencies as defined in the Alectra Electrical Emergency Preparedness Plan (EEPP).
Emergency switching and power restorations. Direct crews/supervisors to restore power safely.
Emergency response to and from fire and police document times and assign crews/supervisor accordingly to adhere to OEB requirements. Responsible for a working knowledge and understanding of and make all efforts reasonable to work in accordance with and ensuring work is done in compliance with the appropriate safety legislation, EUSR rules, Alectra policies and procedures and safe work practices that apply to the work while adhering to the internal responsibility system. Reports any unsafe conditions or observed unsafe work practices using Alectra procedures.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

Education:

3-Year College Diploma in an electrical discipline or equivalent
OACETT certification as a C. Tech or C.E.T.
MEARIE Certificate as a Journeyperson Municipal Electrical Operator or eligible to obtain in 12 months
Certification in the IHSA Utility Work Protection Code
Valid class G driver’s license

Experience:

Requires a minimum of 4 years of related electrical operating experience
Required to be part of On-Call rotation and able to work 24/7 rotating work schedule
Proficient in the use of SCADA systems, Outage Management Systems (OMS), Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and personal computer applications including Microsoft Office software
Required ability to read, interpret and utilize technical prints and schematics

DIRECTOR QUALIFICATIONS

DIRECTOR FUNCTIONS
The Board of Directors for London Hydro is legally responsible for overseeing the corporation’s actions and performance. Directors are required to attend scheduled Board meetings (approximately 4-6 meetings/year), the Annual General Meeting, and Committee meetings (Audit, Corporate Governance & Risk Management, Human Resources). Committees meet approximately 4-5 times/year and Board members are generally appointed to two (2) committees. Conestoga College, a leader in apprenticeship and skills training in Canada’s Technology Triangle, is seeking experienced professionals to share their expertise and experience with students by joining our renowned Powerline Technician program at the Ingersoll Skills Training Centre, starting September 2025.
As a part-time Professor, you will play a pivotal role in mentoring and inspiring the next generation of Powerline Technicians, seeing the direct impact of your work on students’ growth and success while engaging with students and colleagues in an academic setting.
You will contribute to advancing and improving the field in one of Ontario’s most successful Powerline Technician programs, which boasts a dedicated, on-site training yard and an extensive fleet of industry-standard vehicles and work equipment.
Part-time Professors can retain their full-time jobs and typically teach one to two courses for approximately three to six hours per week in the classroom or yard/lab for a 14-week term. Conestoga offers classes Monday to Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and we endeavour to align working hours within existing schedules wherever possible.

A Professional Engineers license with a degree in Electrical Engineering (inclusive of EIT designation) will be considered an asset.
Experience in a leadership or managerial role is an asset.
Have gained a sound working knowledge of electrical distribution and associate communications and controls systems, ideally with five years experience in a utility environment with experience in SCADA, AMI, and electric system control operations.

Primary Duties
Reporting to the Manager and Supervisor of Hydro Operations, the incumbent will complete technical design drawings for Electrical infrastructure overhead & underground. Coordinate with field crews and system operators to plan outages for completion of work and maintenance requests. Review Customer/Contractors Service Requests for electrical service upgrades for (residential, commercial, and industrial). In consultation with others, determines electrical distribution arrangements and produces technical field drawings and layouts, orders materials and equipment, confers with customers for outages, arranges for underground locates, prepares and issues customer quotes and contracts, organizes, schedules and oversees the work, liaises with other departments regarding pending work, provides estimates for capital, maintenance, and customer work and assists with identifying capital and maintenance improvements and budget requirements. Responds to customer enquiries and liaises with developers and contractors.
The incumbent will prepare tenders, RFQ’s, RFP’s, collect field data using the latest GPS technology, undertake field surveys and complete as-built drawing. Play a lead role in the annual ESA Reg. 22/04 audit with presenting all required data to auditor. Produce or update electronic drawing files, databases and records for reporting, develop and track work schedules for assigned projects, review and confirm security deposit estimates, manage and administer the Capital Cost Recovery calculations for capital contributions and or expansion deposits and Connection Agreements. The incumbent will undertake regular communication and site visits with field crews as projects proceed to problem solve field issues and ensure compliance.

Education, Certification and Other Qualifications Required
• Candidates with a Diploma from a three (3) year Engineering Technology program, with preference given to Electrical (Power Option) and/or Civil (Structural Option) from an accredited College. Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience AND designation as a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) with O.A.C.E.T.T. required.
• Ensure designs meet all regulatory and applicable standards such as ESA Regulation 22/04, CSA and standards as well as adhere to Utilities Kingston’s own policies, procedures and USF Standards

+ WHAT THE OPPORTUNITY IS
The Apprentice Linesperson will have to be a minimum 2nd year apprentice up to Journeyperson Powerline Technician. 
Festival Hydro is currently seeking a 2nd year apprentice up to Journeyperson Linesperson. You will work with a crew responsible for the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution systems. Responsibilities will be aligned to the trainee’s experience level, and duties may include assisting in capital rebuild projects, troubleshooting repairs and restoring system outages. The apprentice will work towards position objectives at ever-increasing levels of responsibility relative to training and experience.  
The successful candidate must be enrolled and working towards completing the MEARIE Powerline Technician certification program by satisfying the hours and training requirements for certification. Once certified, the incumbent will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and construction of overhead and underground distribution lines. Candidates will be required to comply and be familiar with Company work practices and standards, operating rules, and regulations, as well as all pertinent OHSA regulations. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
System Operations

Manage the day-to-day needs of the System Control Centre including scheduling, resourcing, timesheet balancing and all other administrative processes necessary to run a shift.
Overseeing the 24/7 System Control Centre operations of the corporation’s distribution system assets, including the safe and reliable operation of the distribution system including Seaton Municipal Transformer Station #1, for planning and unplanned outages, construction and maintenance.
Supporting the System Control Centre in office Monday to Friday and available to support on-call basis.
Supervises the SCC work plan and monitors its progress to make on-demand changes where necessary for the efficient and effective operation of the distribution system
Ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient operation of all the system components on a constant and continuous basis by providing accurate and prompt direct system control or control instructions to field staff.
Acting as the Corporation’s subject matter expert and providing direction on the Utility Work Protection Code.
Supervising and approving overhead and underground distribution system switching, including station switching.
Coordinates with SCC client groups to communicate changes to the work plan, support the re-scheduling of planned work, access resources and direct the restoration of unplanned events
Restoring outages and resolution of all trouble call response activities and power system emergencies.
Performs inspections and audits on all services provided by the SCC and takes action on deficiencies that require immediate resolution or provides timely reports on gap closure
Initiating, developing and coordinating all Mutual Assistance Agreement with other LCD’s.
Maintaining the Transmission Connection Agreement, Distribution Connection Agreements and other distribution system connected generator operational agreements up to date.
Maintaining emergency preparedness and response procedures, in compliance with IESO’s emergency preparedness regulations and the Corporation’s Business Continuity program.
Participate in preparing and maintaining the Power Restoration Plan Acting and managing all functions relating to the safe and effective restoration of power, and coordinating with all other departments as required. Conducting regular emergency response practice scenarios.
Ensuring that real-time outage information is current and accurate and communicated on a timely basis to internal stakeholders including Corporate Communications, Customer Service and Senior Management.
Reviewing procedures with shift staff to ensure concepts are being understood and procedures are followed at all times.
Leading the development and implementation of plans, strategies, policies, and processes for operational planning and outages.
Reviewing Control Center tools/displays and making recommendations for additions and updates to operations technologies, such as SCADA, OMS, GIS, ADMS, IVR etc.
Participating on committees as required, including the Reliability Committee, providing subject matter expert advice as required.
Providing feedback, reports and recommendations to the Manager, Stations, System Control and other Department Managers on all operational issues.
In conjunction with corporate Communications, manage customer complaints regarding power quality and system reliability.

Recommends improvements to operational technologies.
Identifies opportunities to improve the quality of the business unit’s operations and the efficient utilization of resources.
Promotes team development and coaching to staff.
Sets the tone and fosters a culture that promotes ethical practices, the Corporation values including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct of the enterprise.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned and/or change as the department develops.
Health and Safety

Responsibility of direction and supervision of health and safety policies to ensure the front-line staff are operating in a safe environment.
Promoting safety, participating in safety meetings, inspections, meetings, instructions and training as required.
Enforcing all applicable safety standards including the Company’s Health and Safety program.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

University degree in a related field from a recognized university or a combination of education, training, and experience.
Experience in working with union-represented employees and with shift workers.
Knowledge of operational technologies (e.g. SCADA, GIS, OMS, ADMS, etc.)
Awareness of aspects of line construction, power line maintenance, substation construction, and maintenance and protection schemes.
Experience in power system operations, smart grid technologies, emergency preparedness and distributed energy resources.
Processes and maintains a valid Ontario Driver’s License.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of the I.H.S.A. Utility Work Protection Code and on its proper application.
Thorough knowledge of electrical overhead, underground, network and URD systems, operating practices standards, equipment, materials and engineering records systems.
Knowledge of OHSA, Electrical Utility Safety Rules and relevant safety, electrical and environmental legislation and regulations.
Thorough knowledge of reading and understanding of electrical drawings, feeder/operating prints and schematics.
Knowledge of emergency management practices related to the Ontario Power System Restoration Plan and IESO Market Participant Rules on Emergency Preparedness and System Restoration.
Understands and utilizes the actions and behaviors necessary to create organizational change and unity within One Culture principles.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

A Journeyperson Distribution System Operator certification in the province of Ontario, with direct system control experience would be an asset.

Perform scheduled software updates and administrative tasks to maintain optimal system performance.

Ensure adherence to legislative, regulatory, and health and safety standards across projects.
Provide technical expertise in the planning, design, and execution of key initiatives.

Who you are
Education and Knowledge

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Technology, or equivalent experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
Strong knowledge of business analysis principles and practices.
Proficiency with MS Office applications and familiarity with project management software (e.g., Oracle Primavera is an asset).
Understanding of project scope and requirements in the utilities industry.
Experience

3+ years of planning, scheduling, or quality control experience in a production or similar environment.
Proven experience preparing and maintaining Master Schedules aligned with reporting needs.
Previous experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.
Experience in a unionized utility environment is an asset.
