DRAFTSPERSON

Reporting to the Manager, Engineering the Draftsperson is responsible to prepare simple to complex engineering drawings to be issued for construction using a 2D or 3D computer aided drafting platform. This position will also be responsible to aid Engineering Technicians in their role which may include preparing bill of materials, estimates, permits, work orders, and creating as built drawings.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
· Grade 12 Diploma (OSSGD) with a concentration of courses in drafting, mathematics, and science
· Ability to work independently
· Knowledge of materials and procedures used in maintenance and construction of electrical distribution systems
· Five year plus AutoCad experience
· Well developed interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills
· Valid Class “G” driver’s license with a clean abstract
