Journeyman Lineperson

Milton Hydro is looking for a Journeyman Lineperson (will consider applicants with third or fourth level apprentice experience and qualifications) to join our Operations team. 

Qualifications:  

• Possess a MEA (EDA) Journeyman Power Lineperson Certificate
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License Class AZ with an excellent driving record
• Must live (or be willing to relocate) to within a 30 km radius of the Milton Hydro Service Centre 

The ideal candidate will also possess:

• Knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations
• Current certificate in First Aid, CPR, WHMIS certificates
• Basic personal computer skills
• A good working knowledge of the E&USA rulebook and associated safety regulations including safe work practices
• Experience in all aspects of overhead and underground distribution system work, up to and including 27.6 kV
• Experience in the safe operation of all utility equipment and vehicles
• Ability to perform regular emergency call-out and on-call duties
