The Opportunity

In this position, you will be responsible for executing all front-line Human Resources and Payroll duties for InnPower. This role is crucial in the execution of an exceptional Employee experience for all staff. 

This role is perfect for a roll-up your sleeves Human Resources Professional, passionate about Employee Experience and building HR programs and processes. 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

  • Providing high quality, collaborative Human Resources Operational excellence in all facets of HR
  • Coordinate the processing of payroll and remittances for all employees of InnPower and affiliates.
  • Assist in coordination of employee events including corporate events, Employee Wellness and Engagement events
  • Own the Employee Experience throughout the entire Employee Life cycle process.
  • Own the Talent Acquisition, Onboarding and Offboarding Processes, including building on our employee brand.
  • Provide administrative support on all HR and Payroll software.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality.
  • Coordinate and Facilitate training with other agencies as required.
  • Administer Employee Benefits, OMERS pension plan and the employee assistance program.
  • Coordinate Employee recognition program
  • Support execution of new and Current Human Resources Programs
  • Support Collective agreement administration.
  • Act as single point of contact for InnPower employees and departments
  • Live our Values & Guiding principles and create an Inclusive environment
  • Help build InnPower’s EDI (Equity, Diversity & Inclusion program)
  • Provide Quality Human Resources services to all stakeholders including InnPower staff and management
  • Develop and Implement Human Resources Programs, Policies and Procedures
  • Prepare and develop various reporting on employment data as required.
  • Build strong relationships internally and externally as required
  • Conduct research as needed to develop programs and policies.
  • Resolve day to day employee and labour relations issues 

Qualifications: 

  • You have 3-5 years experience as a Human Resources generalist or in a similar Human Resources operational role.
  • You have 3-5 years experience processing payroll and in payroll administration.
  • Post-secondary education in human resources, business management, business administration or relevant field.
  • Experience in a Unionized environment
  • Human Resource Credentials - Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) considered an asset.
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification or willingness to obtain designation is an asset.
  • Strong working knowledge of Human Resources functions, legislation, and processes
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications
