WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

K.P.C. Power Electrical Ltd. needs experienced “SUBSTATION ELECTRICIANS” for our growing business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and participate in the construction of medium and high voltage electrical systems, meticulously adhering to the OESC and industry standards.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of medium and high voltage transformers, switchgear, and associated equipment.
  • Proficiently handle cable installation for medium and high voltage power distribution systems.
  • Proficiently terminate medium and high voltage cables, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Interpret medium and high-voltage electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams for planning and executing installations and terminations in construction projects.
  • Champion a strong commitment to safety regulations and protocols in construction and termination work, proactively mitigating risks.
  • Stay current with developments in the OESC and ensure all construction and termination work aligns with applicable regulations.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all medium and high voltage construction and termination work, including compliance documentation and project logs. 

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Demonstrated expertise in medium and high-voltage electrical systems, particularly in construction settings and cable terminations.
  • In-depth familiarity with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC) and industry-specific construction and termination standards.
  • Proficiency in deciphering medium and high-voltage electrical blueprints and schematics.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good mechanical, hands-on aptitude. 

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technician/Technology program
  • Possession of a valid 309A Electrical License issued by the Ontario College of Trades
  • 5-10 years of electrical construction experience from a trade perspective
