Generation Engineer
Reporting to the Director Generation, the Generation Engineer is responsible for managing multidisciplinary engineering projects and provides support to the operations of the generation assets. The incumbent is part of a team responsible for the maintenance, modernization and operation of our generation operations and plans, organizes and leads activities to optimize and modernize the operation of Energy Ottawa’s generating facilities.
The Generation Engineer plans and coordinates major capital and modernization projects and works closely with external consulting resources to bring projects from concept through to successful completion. Projects include electrical, civil, mechanical, instrumentation & control engineering disciplines.
The Engineer provides support and assistance to the day to day operations through the tracking and reporting of generating asset performance. The incumbent works closely with and provides advice to operating staff and develops engineering solutions to optimize operations as well as with operations staff in the development and revision of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs, policies and procedures;

Excellent oral and written English language skills are essential; Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
