We are looking to hire two (2) Engineering Co-op students to perform a variety of tasks related to the Utility's Electrical Distribution System in our Engineering & Stations Department. The tasks assigned will include assisting Engineering Technologists in the design of overhead and underground electrical distribution systems, preparing engineering drawings using AutoCAD and assisting GIS Department with record updates. Other work will depend on the student's academic qualifications, previous work experience as well as interest and aptitude demonstrated during the work term.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a Technology program (Electrical or Energy Systems). Technician candidates will NOT be considered. Preference will be given to those applicants who have previous utility or industrial experience in power systems, civil construction and/or are considering a career in the Electrical Utility Industry. Applicants should be very computer literate, and have previous work experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Some tasks may involve driving a company vehicle, a valid Class G driver's license is required.
