ERTH Corporation is a municipally-owned group of companies that provide a variety of solutions to the utility and municipal sectors, including electricity distribution, electric and water metering services, traffic and LED street lighting, power line construction, estimation and asset management software, and conservation and billing solutions.

ERTH was the first Meter Service Provider (MSP) registered in Ontario.  ERTH’s MSP business covers all aspects of wholesale metering, including site assessments and registrations, engineering, design, installation and ongoing meter point maintenance and support.  ERTH’s electric metering division also includes an accredited meter verification (AMV) shop which has sealed and calibrated over 800,000 meters since 2004.  ERTH was the first company in Canada to be certified by Measurement Canada (MC) to perform sampling on single and three phase electronic meters.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Electric Meter Services will oversee the day-to-day operations of ERTH’s electric metering businesses, including its MSP services and AMV shop.  This position is based out of Ingersoll ON, although some travel is required.  This position reports to the Director of Metering Services (or designate).  This position will also work closely with the Supervisor, Metering and Field Services at ERTH‘s regulated electricity distributor, Erie Thames Powerlines.  The position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Primary responsibility for the management of the day-to-day operational aspects of ERTH’s MSP and AMV businesses. 
• Supervise MSP services, including Meter Trouble Report (MTR) resolution and client reporting, and assist in MDMA operations including MV-90.
• Supervise meter verification/re-verification services as per customer contracts, manage meter compliance sample programs for customers, perform all duties of Management Representative for Quality (MRQ), prepare meter reports as required by MC, and maintain all meter shop equipment as per Industry Canada and ISO standards.
• Responsible for records management activities for customers.
• Assist in the creation and management of annual operating budgets for metering division
• Assist in obtaining meter verification/re-verification and MSP contracts.
• Assist in developing relationships with customers, contractors and other stakeholders, growing the electric metering business with new revenue and service offerings, and maintaining an industry presence on electric metering matters. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Post-Secondary training in the electrical or electronics field.
• MEA Journeyman/Metering Certification an asset but not required.
• Three to five years related experience and/or training at the supervisory level.
• Ability to develop and implement plans and budgets and allocate resources.
• Effective communication skills, team building skills and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the relevant Industry Canada, IESO and safety legislation, regulations and codes.
• Able to maintain reports review and present as needed.
• Must demonstrate flexibility, commitment and problem solving.
• Valid Ontario “G” driver’s license with access to a vehicle.
