Newmarket-Tay Power Distribution Ltd. (NT Power) delivers power with pride to almost 50,000 customers within the Town of Newmarket, Town of Midland, and Tay Township. Headquartered in Newmarket, Ontario, NT Power has an additional office in Midland, Ontario, which is approximately one hour north of Newmarket along the shores of Georgian Bay. 

We are seeking a motivated, collaborative individual to join our team as a Marketing and Communications Manager, reporting to the Vice President Customer and Employee Experience, working in a team environment, based at our head office in Newmarket, Ontario.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the development and supervision of all marketing and communication strategies for the company including content creation/review for the website and social media platforms. The successful candidate will oversee the development of goals, strategies, and implementation plans for marketing and customer communication initiatives, as well as ensuring consistent, clear communication for our internal audience. They will also be responsible for providing supervision and direction to the communication team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all internal and external communications for the company ensuring messages are consistent and engaging.
  • Budget development and cost tracking for the marketing and communications team.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build brand awareness and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and manage the design, content, and production of all marketing/communication materials.
  • Lead the communication staff.
  • Prepare presentations geared towards employees.
  • Responsible for website content oversight.
  • Creation of corporate videos and press releases.
  • Defining key targets and quality metrics for marketing communications initiatives and reviewing and evaluating results upon completion of those activities.
  • Presentation preparation for executive/Board meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-Secondary Education in Communications, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3 years to 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • Understanding of managing web content, digital marketing/communication.
  • Graphic design skills.
  • Able to produce written, spoken, or visual media.
  • Superior interpersonal skills.
  • Organized with structured processes, ability to maintain attention to detail with a positive, results-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to adapt to a demanding, rapidly changing work environment and to handle numerous duties, set priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Seeks opinions of others and values diverse perspectives.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to address the information needs of internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • Can provide clear direction to direct reports and provide guidance and coaching as required.
  • Experience in understanding customer needs and preferences and will support a customer focused culture.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to formulate a course of action from results uncovered.
