ELECTRICAL MAINTAINER
We have a vacancy in our Operations Division for an Electrical Maintainer.
The successful candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include:
Regularly inspect and troubleshoot issues with stations, building, underground, and manhole equipment,
Complete primary switching operations as directed by control room switching orders, including establishing safe work areas under the Utility Work Protection Code
Repair transformers, capacitor banks, streetlight, and distribution equipment.
Work around primary voltages and within confined spaces
Maintain, calibrate and outsource as required small tools, electronic equipment, testing equipment and gas detectors.
Maintain building control system, including working with software vendors and the IT Department for all necessary troubleshooting and software or hardware maintenance and upgrades.
Maintenance and repair of Guelph Hydro buildings as required, including HVAC systems - change filters, lubricate motors and bearings.
Maintenance of building electrical systems.
Other duties as assigned
Apprentices or applicants with equivalent experience will be considered providing they have the ability to become journeypersons within a reasonable period of time.
