JOURNEYMAN METERING TECHNICIAN /
2ND YEAR APPRENTICE
Erie Thames Powerlines is currently accepting applications for a Journeyman Metering Technician/2nd Year Apprentice.
The successful candidate will report to the Metering & Field Services Supervisor, Ingersoll Ontario and be responsible for but not limited to:
single and 3 phase meters installations
verification and testing of meter installations
verify electronic meters using metering software
Performance of all functions must be in conformance with all regulatory requirements, ESA, IHSA, Measurements Canada and Erie Thames Powerlines standards.
Applicants will be considered from candidates who meet the following minimum qualifications:
Post-Secondary Education in an Electrical Discipline – Electrical Technician/Technologist
MEA Journeyman Meterman Certification or Apprentice Verification
1st Aid/CPR
Valid Class G Driver’s License
ISO training beneficial
Effective communication skills, team building skills and interpersonal skills
Computer literate
Must be able to do physical lifting repetitively
Able to maintain reports review and present as needed
Must demonstrate flexibility, commitment and problem solving
