INFORMATION SYSTEMS GENERALIST

ERTH Power Corporation is a licensed electricity distribution company servicing over 24,000 customers throughout Southwestern Ontario.  Headquartered in Ingersoll, Ontario, we are currently welcoming applicants to the position of Information Systems (IS) Generalist.  This position is responsible for supporting and implementing various programs and IT systems for ERTH Power Corporation.  This includes actively resolving user help requests in a timely and supportive manner, thus allowing the organization to better service our customers.

Some travel is required with this position, and as a condition of employment, a Confidentiality Agreement must be signed.  Qualified applicants who meet the following criteria will be considered:

• Post Secondary School Graduation Diploma in the Information Technology field;
• Strong problem solving skills with ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software issues;
• Strong knowledge of database technologies and query writing;
• Ability to maintain corporate asset management inventories (hardware/software);
• Experience with various Operating Systems (Windows Desktop OS, Windows Server OS, Linux, iOS);
• Knowledge of JAVA, ASP, MS Office, HTML, ASP.NET would be an asset;
• Assist with system/process improvement and system integration with new technologies;
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills;
• Good interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport building, listening, and questioning skills;
• Strong documentation skills;
• Effective communication skills, team building skills and interpersonal skills;
• Must demonstrate flexibility, commitment and problem solving;
• Excited to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment;
• Valid class G Driver’s license
