As the Coordinator, Program Planning and Analysis, you’ll play a vital role in tracking, reporting, and streamlining project information to ensure resources are utilized effectively and projects are delivered successfully.

What you’ll do

Project Coordination and Analysis

  • Manage data tracking and input for project details, including resources, costs, and schedules for all capital and connections work.
  • Monitor project status to ensure delivery within timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Conduct variance analysis and exception reporting to identify and address potential challenges.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present reports on resource allocations, planning, and expenditures.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to communicate project progress, address inquiries, and ensure alignment on goals.
  • Facilitate meetings with teams in Construction and Engineering to review successes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provide input to the Manager, Program Planning and Execution, on program achievements, risks, and insights.

Process Improvement and Systems Management

  • Assist in developing and implementing project controls, including integrated systems for data collection, storage, and reporting.
  • Recommend process enhancements to improve workflows, templates, and execution strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and optimization to streamline processes and improve service delivery.
  • Perform scheduled software updates and administrative tasks to maintain optimal system performance.

Compliance and Technical Expertise

  • Ensure adherence to legislative, regulatory, and health and safety standards across projects.
  • Provide technical expertise in the planning, design, and execution of key initiatives.

Who you are

Education and Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis principles and practices.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and familiarity with project management software (e.g., Oracle Primavera is an asset).
  • Understanding of project scope and requirements in the utilities industry.

Experience

  • 3+ years of planning, scheduling, or quality control experience in a production or similar environment.
  • Proven experience preparing and maintaining Master Schedules aligned with reporting needs.
  • Previous experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a unionized utility environment is an asset.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying technical information clearly.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects within tight timelines.

  • Commitment to continuous improvement and attention to detail.
  • Valid Class “G” driver’s license.
