What You Will Do:

The Customer Service Field Representative supports metering operations and customer account collections across GrandBridge Energy’s service territory. This role is responsible for collecting outstanding payments, performing meter disconnects and reconnects, completing water meter reading, and supporting timely and accurate billing activities.  The role requires frequent travel to customer premises and direct engagement with customers using mobile technologies to complete service orders and document field activities in real time. The representative plays a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency, data accuracy, and regulatory compliance. A strong customer service orientation and commitment to safety are essential for success in this role.

  • Perform collection activities for outstanding customer accounts, including hand delivery of notices for past-due accounts.
  • Conduct meter disconnects and reconnects, including move-in and move-out services.
  • Complete water meter readings using approved metering equipment and technology.
  • Travel throughout the service territory to attend customer premises and complete daily service orders using a mobile tablet.
  • Communicate regularly with the office to ensure timely processing of service orders and accurate documentation of field activities.
  • Perform remote interrogation of meters and attend sites as required to obtain meter reads.
  • Process commercial account reads and utilize computer systems and software specific to billing and metering operations.
  • Prepare and analyze reports and statistical data to support the Customer Experience Department.
  • Demonstrate a strong safety-first mindset while working in the field and interacting with customers.
  • Provide professional, courteous, and respectful customer service in all interactions.
  • Contribute to a positive workplace culture by fostering collaboration, maintaining a positive attitude, supporting customers, and promoting a respectful and inclusive environment.

What You Will Bring:

  • Certification to pull single phase meters.
  • 5 year plus related experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of the electrical safety requirements for metering as outlined in EUSA Rule Book for Utility Operations.
  • Excellent customer service skills required for communicating with internal and external customers.
  • Must hold a valid class “G” driver’s license.
  • Natural aptitude for using electronics and embracing software including NorthStar CIS, DAP Handheld Units, Sensus, live tablets.
  • Solid understanding of wireless communications.
  • Computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, CIS system)
  • Knowledge of our service territory, the City of Brantford, the County of Brant, the City of Cambridge, and the Township of North Dumfries.
