310T/310S Mechanic

Over the years we’ve expanded to offer our customers more by adding services including dredging and dewatering, directional drilling, and core drilling alongside our existing services. 

About this Opportunity

Brass Inc. is looking for a licensed mechanic (310T and/or 310S) for our Port Perry Shop. This is a rewarding full-time, permanent day shift position, with the opportunity to learn and advance your skillset in a progressive environment of diversely trained professionals & unique equipment. 

Reporting to the Shop manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for diagnosing problems and making repairs to all types of trucks, trailers, automotive and construction equipment. We pride ourselves on a headlight to tail light approach where we can see a project come to completion from the ground up while adopting a teamwork mentality to maintain the Brass Standard throughout our fleet.

Hourly Rate: $40.00 to $56.00

Location: This in-person role is located in Port Perry, Ontario 

As the successful applicant, you will have the opportunity to be involved with:

  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of heavy trucks, equipment, and light to medium duty vehicles;
  • Conduct DriveON safety inspections in accordance with regulatory and company standards;
  • Accurately document work performed, communicate repair status effectively, and provide preventative maintenance recommendations to minimize downtime;
  • Test and inspect repaired vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and compliance with safety standards;
  • Complete routine and preventative maintenance services on trucks and equipment in a timely manner;
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, initiative, and flexibility by supporting additional tasks as operationally required. 

WHAT YOU HAVE TO OFFER

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience;
  • Registered 310T and/or 310S License;
  • Valid “G” driver’s license and clean abstract (A, D, Z license is considered an asset);
  • Positive attitude with a safety-first mindset, and team-oriented approach;
  • Desire to learn and grow your skillset;
  • Flexibility to response to on-call or emergency circumstances.
