COMMERCIAL & INDUSTRIAL ENERGY EFFICIENCY COORDINATOR

ONE YEAR CONTRACT POSITION

 

Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc. is seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of Commercial & Industrial Energy Efficiency Coordinator. This exciting position will report to the Conservation and Demand Management (CDM) Supervisor, and will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of CDM programs related to energy conservation, energy efficiency and load management for Commercial customers in accordance with the Ontario Energy Board’s (OEB) codes.

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities for this Position Include:

  • Acts as a technical advisor to Commercial customers to determine CDM opportunities.
  • Conducts basic walk-through audits to identify energy conservation opportunities, and coordinates professional audits and feasibility studies when appropriate.
  • Assists customers in preparing applications for all commercial CDM programs.
  • Tracks and maintains records of customer activity, identified opportunities, applications and completed projects using CDM software. Provides reports on this data as required.
  • Tracks status of active applications and follows-up with customers on a frequent basis to encourage and capture project completion.
  • Develops and maintain relationships with channel partners, suppliers and service providers for the purpose of proposing CDM measures to customers. 

Required Qualifications for this Position include:

  • Post Secondary Degree or diploma in a relevant discipline. Business Administration, Environmental Studies, Energy Management or equivalent.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and/or Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) designation is an asset.
  • Technical background with respect to energy efficient technologies and solid understanding of commercial CDM program rules.
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in the energy efficiency/management sector.
  • Work experience in an electric utility is an asset.
  • Experience in the Ontario Electricity Market assisting with commercial/industrial customers and facility Managers is an asset.
  • Must possess strong customer service skills.
  • Advanced written and verbal communications and public speaking skills.
  • Must hold and maintain a valid Class “G” driver’s license with a good driving record.
