ENWIN Utilities Ltd. is accepting applications from Electrical/Electronic Technicians for the position of:

 

Technical Services Advisor (TSA)

 

Reporting to the Manager Engineering (Technical Services), the successful applicant will be responsible for acting as a direct liaison between customers, contractors, developers, engineers, municipal workers and other ENWIN Utilities departments for administration of technical policy, procedures with respect to conditions of service of new and existing electric and water service connections. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to: processing ESA connection orders, performing field checks, designing and preparing service estimates, administering the tree trimming contract, preparing water permits, resolving billing errors and performing adjustments, resolving customer complaints, preparing FIT/microFIT program paperwork, troubleshooting outages during storms, reporting and resolving meter tampering issues, preparing load reports, attending site meetings and scheduling of services connections, service cuts and service reconnects. 

The successful applicant must have the following skills and abilities: 

  • Must be a Graduate of a two (2) year Electrical/Electronic Technician Program from a recognized Community College or equivalent Certified Technician designation from O.A.C.E.T.T. 
  • Minimum two (2) years related experience. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers, other departments, customers and the public. 
  • Ability to read and interpret maps, blueprints, and schematics. 
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities and ability to work independently and/or with minimal supervision. 
  • Valid class “G” Driver’s License. 
  • Familiarity with various office software packages including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Lotus Notes, SAP, and customer information systems. Candidate must be willing and able to update skills as new software becomes available.
