APPRENTICE METER TECHNICIAN

Erie Thames Powerlines is pleased to announce an immediate opening for an Apprentice Meter Technician.

Reporting to the Operations and Planning Supervisor (or designate) at the Ingersoll, Bell Street location. The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to:

single and 3 phase meters installations
verification and testing of meter installations
verify electronic meters using metering software
prepare meter reports as required by Measurement Canada
perform all field tasks for commissioning new and existing metering installations

Performance of all functions must be in conformance with all regulatory requirements, ESA, IHSA, Measurement Canada and Erie Thames Powerlines standards. Qualified applicants who meet the following criteria will be considered:

Post-Secondary Education in an Electrical Discipline – Electrical Technician/Technologist
1^st Aid/CPR
Valid Class G Driver’s License
ISO training beneficial
Effective communication skills, team building skills and interpersonal skills
Computer literate
Must be able to do physical lifting repetitively
Able to maintain reports review and present as needed
Must demonstrate flexibility, commitment and problem solving
Perform other duties as assigned
Must be available to work out of town as required
