Elexicon Group has an opening for an experienced business development professional with proven experience and success identifying and executing strategic growth opportunities throughout Ontario. Reporting to the manager of business development, this role is responsible for implementing the EGI business development sales strategy in partnership with product line business leaders. The role will involve generating, planning, mapping, and prioritizing opportunities across Ontario to the company’s energy equipment and management activities and leading the growth of the business through key account sales and relationships. 


  • Identify, pursue and develop relationships with decision makers for EGI services
  • Sales Objectives – maintain accountability for agreed upon sales targets within specific sectors and markets
  • Obtaining and analyzing industry news, developments, and industry trends to provide strategic proposals that support EGI’s growth plans
  • Work with/support operations to manage strategic relations with existing clients
  • Support contract negotiations with clients and partners, both with new and existing clients and supply required documentation as required
  • Manage sales processes from pre-bid through to the final bid review, sign off and final bid submission to client 


  • Post-Secondary Education in engineering, business or related fields is preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience selling in the energy sector with a proven track record in Business to Business technical solution sales
  • Strong understanding of Combined Heat and Power projects, Energy Storage projects, and/or EPC services
  • Personal network within the senior management of commercial and industrial organizations and enterprise type customers relevant to EGI’s future business growth an asset
  • Knowledge of the Ontario electricity market and shift to a lower carbon economy
  • Well-developed lead generation, negotiation and closing skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Strong business writing skills for bid, proposal and agreement preparation
  • Self-motivated, results-driven and collaborative team player
  • Works well under tight deadlines
