Chief Executive Officer - Milton Hydro Distribution
Milton Hydro Distribution Inc. is a local distribution company, which is responsible for distributing electricity to more than 40,000 business and residential customers within the Town of Milton. Milton Hydro Distribution Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Milton Hydro Holdings Inc., owned by the Town of Milton.
The Town of Milton is one of the fastest growing communities in North America, located within the Halton Region, west of Toronto. Milton is known for its rich natural heritage, vibrant cultural diversity, and unique urban and rural character. It is home to over 130,000 resident who have chosen Milton because of its beautiful natural setting, rural hamlets, proximity to a broad employment market, safe and attractive neighborhoods, excellent recreation facilities, services and strong civic pride.
Milton Hydro is seeking a Chief Executive Officer who will provide dynamic, effective, results-oriented leadership and direction to all areas of the organization. The CEO will be accountable for developing and implementing business development strategies, lead project development, negotiations, correspond and manage relationships with shareholders, act as the spokesperson for the organization and will serve as a pivotal link to fulfilling Milton Hydro’s strategic plan. Together with the Executive Team, the CEO will be responsible for strengthening Milton Hydro’s position as an industry leader.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ideal candidate will have strong business and financial acumen with demonstrated experience leading positive organizational change and growth. The successful candidate will excel in an entrepreneurial environment and will have significant knowledge of the energy sector. S/he will have experience developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy, coupled with a successful track record in securing new business opportunities.
