SETTLEMENTS ANALYST

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

Reporting to the Manager, Wholesale Settlements, you will provide support to the group in all facets of the departmental processes.  Responsibilities include: 

  • Review nightly MV90 data acquisitions process, determine any anomalies, trouble shoot and resolve either internally or through coordinated efforts with Veridian Metering group, Veridian Control room and Metering Service Provider(s).
  • Review nightly Smart Meter data acquisition process, determine any anomalies, trouble shoot and resolve either internally or through coordinated efforts with data acquisition partners including provincial Smart Metering Entity.
  • Verify daily operations of Kinetiq settlements software and determine any anomalies, trouble shoot and resolve.
  • Verify daily update of Kinetiq PowerView Web data presentment server and determine any anomalies, trouble shoot and resolve.
  • Acquire and process daily IESO settlement files, review processing in Kinetiq settlement software, determine any anomalies, trouble shoot and resolve.
  • Process settlement ready date and pricing files into Harris CIS system, determine any anomalies, trouble shoot and resolve either internally or through coordinate efforts with the Veridian Billing group.
  • Process interval metered account configurations in all applicable systems MV90, Kinetiq, Smart Meter software, and Harris CIS as necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records of all interval metered account configurations.
  • Prepare queries and documentation in support of IESO, Hydro One, Smart Metering Entity, and OPG reconciliation.
  • Daily monitoring of all interval data settlements irregularities. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 2 years Community College or equivalent.
  • 1 to 2 years relevant experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills and college level Mathematics and Accounting courses.
  • Assured operational skills in a computerized network dependant environment and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and processes
  • Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications with advanced Excel spreadsheet skills
