WHAT YOU'LL DO

Reporting to the Executive Assistant, Engineering & Stations this position is responsible for providing general administrative support to the Engineering, Stations and Metering Departments. Responsibilities include:

  • Assist customers with inquiries and process service requests
  • Create service orders and distribute to designers
  • Provide guidance, coordination and accuracy in the processing and work flow of all service requests from beginning to end, with all parties and departments involved, including the trouble shooting of any issues
  • Update and maintain connection related aspects of the customer information system
  • Provide guidance and coordination in the processing and verification of WNH easements
  • Prepare and process Residential Development Agreements with required information in order to ensure stakeholders are aware of WNH requirements
  • Collect monthly data and update records to ensure Ontario Energy Board reporting requirements are met
  • Process timesheets and vendor invoices for each department
  • Provide administrative support to Engineering, Stations and Metering departments

As a self-starter you are comfortable taking the initiative and working in an energetic, fast-paced environment. You are a keen problem solver with a unique ability to think on your feet. Sometimes you won’t know the right answer, but you’re the kind of person who’s always up for a challenge and will rely on your resources and quickly research a response, while being patient and empathetic to customer needs.

Your excellent internal and external customer service skills allow you to deal with escalated consumer complaints and internal departmental processes. You hold yourself and your work to a high standard, listen well and seek to understand before acting. You demonstrate a critical eye for detail when you analyze problems and find solutions.

You communicate clearly, modelling strong leadership and excellent project management skills while you collaborate to get things done effectively and efficiently.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-Secondary Education in business or related discipline
  • Basic knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety requirements as it relates to individual, organizational and operational requirements
  • Knowledge of Easement Process and Land Rights considered an asset
  • Minimum 2 years’ related experience
  • Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience in a role both customer facing and requiring internal coordination
