Customer Service Representative

 

 

Oshawa PUC Networks Inc., a subsidiary of Oshawa Power and Utilities Corporation, is the local distribution company serving more than 50,000 customers in the City of Oshawa, located 45 minutes east of Toronto on the shores of Lake Ontario.

 

Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor, this position responds efficiently and professionally to all customer enquiries related to billing, collections, service transactions and energy efficiency; processes the transactions resulting from these calls and performs other core functions in the areas of collections, billings and payment entry.

 

As the successful candidate, you hold a post-secondary diploma in call centre applications or business/office administration and have a minimum 2-3 years of call centre or customer service experience, preferably in a utility environment. A proven team player, you possess strong problem-solving and communication skills and have an aptitude for mathematics.

 

Ideally, you have sound knowledge of electric utility service supply policies, rate structures, payment options, collection and privacy policies as well as experience with the Harris Customer Information System. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
