JOB SUMMARY
The Supervisor, System Operations is responsible for the integrity and operation of the System Control Centre at Hydro Ottawa which acts as Hydro Ottawa’s Controlling Authority on the high and low voltage distribution system, 24/7.
The Supervisor, System Operations main responsibilities are to monitor the operation of the distribution system, direct response to unplanned outages and emergencies, maintain adherence to industry regulations and best practices, and administration of all System Operations resources. The Supervisor, System Operations is responsible for the coordination of all directions, requests or inquiries from the Transmitter and IESO, and for the administration of Transmission and Distribution Connection Agreements with the Transmitter and Electrical Operation and Maintenance Agreements with Customers and Embedded Generators.
The Supervisor, System Operations is responsible for all requests required from the System Operations from internal and external sources. The Supervisor, System Operations is responsible to ensure adequate resources to provide all necessary System Operations services.
