Are you a Powerline Technician Journeyperson with an interest in teaching and mentoring?
Conestoga College, a leader in apprenticeship and skills training in Canada’s Technology Triangle, is seeking experienced professionals to share their expertise and experience with students by joining our renowned Powerline Technician program at the Ingersoll Skills Training Centre, starting September 2025.
As a part-time Professor, you will play a pivotal role in mentoring and inspiring the next generation of Powerline Technicians, seeing the direct impact of your work on students’ growth and success while engaging with students and colleagues in an academic setting.
You will contribute to advancing and improving the field in one of Ontario’s most successful Powerline Technician programs, which boasts a dedicated, on-site training yard and an extensive fleet of industry-standard vehicles and work equipment.
Part-time Professors can retain their full-time jobs and typically teach one to two courses for approximately three to six hours per week in the classroom or yard/lab for a 14-week term. Conestoga offers classes Monday to Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and we endeavour to align working hours within existing schedules wherever possible.
