Information Technology Manager 

ERTH Corporation is the holding company to a number of business units within the electricity & municipal sectors.  This position is responsible for IT planning, coordinating, implementing and maintaining various systems across the organization.  This is a role for someone who is eager to be involved with all aspects of technology and be a proactive and positive team member.  The candidate will have a strong technical and project management background with a ‘hands-on’ and ‘can-do’ approach. 

Some travel is required with this position, and as a condition of employment, a Confidentiality Agreement must be signed. 

Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the maintenance, upgrading, and security of IT systems, networks, and hardware
  • IT operational management including incident management, change management, capacity planning, system reporting and service requests
  • Operational planning, including development and maintenance of IT budget
  • Defining, implementing and managing IT policies, procedures and best practices to support company growth while ensuring Security and Compliance
  • Project Management for the delivery & support of Infrastructure solutions
  • Management & development of IT personnel; encouraging innovation, continuous improvement and transformation in pursuit of enhanced customer and business benefits
  • Work with stakeholders to align IT strategies with business objectives
  • Negotiations & vendor management
  • Foster a culture of IT awareness and digital transformation within the organization

Qualified applicants who meet the following criteria will be considered:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or information technology; or related discipline;
  • 5+ years’ IT management experience;
  • Proficient knowledge of computer hardware & software systems & programs, network administration, cloud computing, contingency planning, privacy and cyber security practices;
  • Excellent planning, project management and problem-solving skills, along with superior written skills;
  • Service oriented able to communicate effectively with vendors, clients, executives and internal personnel;
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and operate effectively in a fluid, fast paced environment;   
  • Experience within the utility sector would be an asset
