Manager, Human Resources and Safety Compliance

What you Will Do:

ERTH Corporation is seeking a dynamic individual with proven experience to join our team as a Manager, Human Resources and Safety Compliance.  Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will oversee Human Resources activities and lead the organization’s Health and Safety program.   You will play a key role in facilitating organizational alignment to ERTH’s values of Safety First, Customer Focus, Innovation, Sustainability and Performance Excellence. 

In this hands-on position, key responsibilities will include:

Human Resources Management

• Provide leadership across all HR functions, including talent acquisition, retention, performance management, and succession planning.
• Develop, implement and manage HR policies, procedures, and programs.
• Lead HR reporting and metrics to support data-driven decision-making and compliance monitoring.
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and high-performing workplace culture

Health & Safety

• Lead the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s Health and Safety program.
• Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, training programs, and compliance documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and standards
• Investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes, implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Promote a culture of wellness and safety, integrating well-being into day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources (or related), or Human Resources Management Certificate.
• Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation or equivalent would be an asset.
• Minimum five years of relevant management experience.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and legislation, including:
  • Employment Standards Act
  • Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Workplace Safety and Insurance Act
  • Pay Equity Act
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, confidentiality, and high ethical standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture
