POSITION SUMMARY
The Cybersecurity & IT Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for ensuring the security, stability and efficiency of the organization’s IT infrastructure. They will implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, manage network and system performance and proactively identify and mitigate security risks to protect company data and operations. 

KEY DUTIES

  • Oversee the management and troubleshooting of the LAN, WAN, VPN and Wi-Fi networks, ensuring high availability and security.
  • Administer and maintain on-premise and cloud infrastructure (e.g. Hyper-V, Azure), including system backups, monitoring and scaling.
  • Participate in the review and evolution of the current and future state of the system infrastructure.
  • Participate in the patching/hardening practices of all infrastructure system components.
  • Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Manage and maintain security technologies including Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms and Endpoint Protection to monitor and prevent threats.
  • Implement and test disaster recovery (DR) protocols to ensure rapid recovery and business continuity.
  • Manage daily backups of critical systems, validating integrity and ensuring readiness for restoration.
  • Conduct routine testing of backup and DR protocols and simulate recovery scenarios to validate preparedness.
  • Provide third-tier technical support to internal users, partners and assist clients with infrastructure related challenges.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including infrastructure configurations, diagrams, policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide training to teams as required on emerging technologies, processes or tools.

  • Ability to design, configure and optimize network infrastructure
  • Advanced ability to conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments and security audits
  • Advanced ability to navigate and problem solve network and security issues
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced communication and collaboration skills
  • Advanced MS Office and SharePoint skills

KNOWLEDGE

  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization and cloud computing
  • Advanced knowledge of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs and firewalls
  • Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity principles and threat management
  • Advanced knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Cloud security principles (Azure)
  • Advanced knowledge of security operations and incident response
  • Advanced knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery practices

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in cybersecurity supporting a wide range of related technologies
  • 5+ years’ experience supporting core IT infrastructure services (Hyper-V, Fortinet, Veeam, Aruba Networks)
