PRESIDENT & CEO

Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc. (NPEI) distributes electricity to approximately fifty-nine thousand (59,000) customers across the City of Niagara Falls, Town of Lincoln, Town of Pelham and Township of West Lincoln. With over one hundred (100) employees and approximately four thousand six hundred and fifty (4,650) kilometres of distribution lines spanning eight hundred and twenty-seven (827) square kilometres, NPEI is Ontario’s eleventh (11th) largest mid-size electricity distributor. As a wholly-owned subsidiary company, NPEI operates under the Ontario Business Corporations Act and is governed by an eight (8) member Board of Directors. .

In an evolving energy sector characterized by electrification, consolidation, and new regulatory requirements, we are seeking a visionary leader ready to shape the future of energy. The President and Chief Executive Officer will lead NPEI in assessing and pursuing strategic opportunities for future growth and business collaboration including potential mergers, acquisitions or partnerships that enhance shareholder value. With the strategic vision, entrepreneurial spirit and business instincts to lead during unprecedented industry transformation, the President & CEO will guide modernization efforts by championing innovation, integrating emerging technologies and implementing best practices that ensure NPEI’s long-term system resilience and sustainability.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & CEO leads and directs a collaborative Senior Management team, who are responsible for the leadership, vision, strategy, and management of all aspects of the company, including safety, financial performance, employee relations and operational objectives. As a strategic business leader with strong financial acumen and inspirational people skills, the President & CEO will champion a people and customer-centric approach, strengthening relationships with regulators, municipal and industry stakeholders. 

The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of the electricity and utility sector and a proven record of driving transformation, implementing strategy and leading organizational change. With over a decade of success in a senior executive position, the CEO will lead with purpose - empowering teams, forging strong community partnerships and turning strategy into measurable results. With strong business skills, and a passion for innovation, you will turn profitability into lasting value for a wide range of NPEI stakeholders. Aligned with our mission to deliver safe, reliable and community-focused energy, you will work with a dedicated Board and team to power progress and service excellence to thousands of customers.
